Welcome back! I hope you had a fantastic Winter Break. It is time to get back in the swing of things at school. What are your academic goals for the 3rd Quarter? Post your goals and what you are going to do to accomplish them.

Persuasive Strategies

We've been reading about the persuasive strategies that authors use. Give an example of persuasive strategy that you've seen used in your everyday life. Make sure you also name the strategy that is being used.

What is the best book that you have read in 2010? Why would you recommend it to another reader?

What do you want to accomplish in the third quarter? What will you do to make sure that you are successful?

We've been writing a lot of poetry in class! Type your favorite poem for the class to read.

Make sure you follow the correct format for your poem. Also, make sure to use stanzas, start each line with a capital letter and of course, check your spelling. I can't wait to read your poems!

Most Interesting Explorer

We've learned about many European Explorers. Name your favorite explorer and explain why you think he is so interesting. Make sure to make reference to your explorer's main accomplishment.
